Rockies recall Stewart, designate Nix

Stewart was batting .280 with 19 home runs and 57 RBI in 69 games at Colorado Springs, ranking fourth in the Pacific Coast League with a .607 slugging percentage.

The 25-year-old Nix started at second base this season for the Rockies on opening day, but scuffled to a meager .125 average with two RBI in 22 games at the big-league level.
